Apple Health context and privacy in Aura
By Orion Designs LLC · Source checked
Aura can place optional Apple Health context beside your headache records when you grant access and usable data exists. Your headache entries and those imported measurements are different kinds of evidence; neither automatically explains a migraine.
Permission, measurement, and interpretation
A useful way to read a context card is to ask three questions: did you allow access, did a source record data for the period, and what interpretation is the app adding? Aura’s Apple context service reads supported categories and aggregates available samples; it cannot manufacture an unrecorded night or measurement.
For example, if your headache entry is present but sleep context is absent, keep the headache record and leave sleep unknown. Do not rewrite that day as ‘no sleep,’ and do not assume re-enabling permission will create historical measurements.
Know which copy you are looking at
Aura’s privacy policy describes detailed headache and health-context records in protected app storage or your private iCloud database. Optional services and marketing measurement have their own disclosures; ‘private records’ should not be read as ‘the app never communicates with any service.’
A PDF, CSV, or backup you export is a separate copy. Review it and choose the recipient deliberately. The website itself has no headache-entry form. For complete details about optional Apple sources, WeatherKit, marketing measurement, and deletion, read the privacy policy.
Check access without guessing at missing data
Apple’s Health app provides controls for connected apps and data sources. Review Aura’s allowed categories there and inspect whether the source has data for the period you need. If you decide to limit access, expect some context to become unavailable. A tracking diary can still be useful without every optional signal.
